Booking, Cancellation, Refund & Service Credit Policy_

Company: The Helpful Byte LLC, doing business as The Helpful Byte (“The Helpful Byte,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. General 24-hour rule

Unless a written service term says otherwise, appointments may be canceled or rescheduled without a cancellation charge when notice is received at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. One complimentary reschedule is permitted. A rescheduled appointment remains subject to the same cancellation terms.

2. 30-minute consultation

The consultation is complimentary. A valid payment method is required only to secure the appointment. No $30 charge is made when the client attends, timely cancels, or timely reschedules. By booking, the client authorizes a $30 late-cancellation/no-show charge only if the client cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice or does not attend.

• One complimentary reschedule.

• Ten-minute grace period. After 10 minutes, the appointment may be treated as a no-show.

• The appointment ends at its originally scheduled time.

• If The Helpful Byte cancels or declines the engagement, no charge is made.

3. Helpful Session — $119

The Helpful Session is a 60-minute remote session prepaid in full at booking. The client may request a full refund within 24 hours after the charge, provided the session has not begun or been used. After that 24-hour refund window, the payment is nonrefundable.

If the client cancels or does not attend after the refund window, the client receives a nonexpiring, nontransferable service credit equal to $119 for use toward an eligible one-time service. The credit is limited to the original client, cannot be combined with another credit, and cannot be applied to membership fees. Cash redemption is available only when required by applicable law. A client who requests and receives a refund within the permitted 24-hour window does not also receive a credit.

• If The Helpful Byte cancels, the client may choose a full refund or priority rescheduling.

4. On-site service

On-site service requires at least 24 hours’ cancellation notice. The separate $75 visit fee is refunded when the appointment is timely canceled. If the client is absent, cannot provide access, or cannot provide required authorization after the technician travels to the location, the $75 visit fee is retained. Other prepaid service amounts are handled under the applicable service terms.

5. Membership refunds

A new recurring membership charge may be refunded in full when the member requests cancellation and refund within 24 hours after that charge. A refund ends the membership immediately and removes access to unused membership benefits. After 24 hours, membership charges are nonrefundable, including when benefits are unused, except where required by law or when The Helpful Byte expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

6. Courtesy credits

A service credit is not transferable, is usable only by the original client, applies only to eligible one-time services, cannot be combined with another credit, and does not pay membership fees. Credits issued under this policy do not expire. We will honor cash-redemption rights when applicable law requires them. Nothing in this policy limits a refund right required by law.

7. How to cancel, reschedule, or dispute

Use the cancellation or rescheduling link in the booking confirmation, use the membership billing portal where applicable, or email [email protected]. Payment disputes and questions should also be sent to [email protected].

8. No additional no-show charge for prepaid sessions

Helpful Sessions are charged at booking. We do not impose a second late-cancellation or no-show charge for a prepaid Helpful Session. The $30 card-on-file charge applies only to the complimentary consultation under its separate authorization.
